In anticipation of the Restoration of Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia, we invite you to a movie night (the closing of the season) with the iconic film "Podnieks about Podnieks. Witness of the Time".

Juris Podnieks often used to repeat – before we reach hell or paradise, before those "big gates", every director will have to watch their films and be accountable for them. Based on this metaphor - a conversation before infinity - in the film Juris Podnieks will be revealed by himself, with the filmmakers utilizing a vast archive of interview materials from both the press and other types of conversations.

Juris Podnieks' motivation for filmmaking is short and concise: "Only real emotions can evoke empathy."
