Celebration in Pope Parish

This summer is filled with many festivals and events. Where to go with friends and family? Pope will welcome everyone who has summer celebration in mind.

Celebration in Pope Parish this year will take place on August 9 and 10 with the motto “Pope Roars”. On August 9, there will be fishing competition at Pope Manor's pond, orienteering competition in the park, family quiz game, creative workshops. The day will conclude with awards ceremony and festival concert featuring Edijs Rozentāls. On August 10, starting from 12:00 at the stadium, there will be sports activities – volleyball for men and women, streetball, individual races, strength exercises, as well as entertainment – inflatables, creative workshops, car and motorbike exhibition, market, concert – dance groups “Deguntiņš uz augšu” and “Dance Company”.

At 18:30, there will be a car and motorbike parade from the cultural center to the field near the stage. At 19:00, within the framework of Ventspils District Municipality's cultural project, there will be a concert “Opus Pro” at the Pope's stage. The day will conclude with a ball at 22:00 in the courtyard of Pope's cultural center with the band “Express”.

There will be activities for both adults and children and youth; locals and guests are invited to watch, participate, and finally dance together with everyone!
