Trials for the Literary Group “Preiļi Conceptualists”

Due to the departure of poet Artis Ostups from the literary group “Preiļi Conceptualists,” a vacancy has been announced for a position in the literary group “Preiļi Conceptualists.” To select new members for the group, a poetry performance titled “Trials for the Literary Group ‘Preiļi Conceptualists’” will take place at the “Poetry Days 2025” festival on September 6th at 18:00.

The performance will feature poets: Anna Auziņa, Elvīra Bloma, Raimonds Ķirķis, Ivars Šteinbergs, Kārlis Vērdiņš, and Arvis Viguls.

Partially accessible to people with mobility impairments.

The event will be recorded in photo and video formats.

The event is organized in collaboration with the contemporary cultural forum “White Night.”

The aim of “White Night” is to motivate society to discover the diversity of contemporary culture and to foster a broader interest in cultural events, expressions, and changes. “White Night” takes place both in the city center and in other neighborhoods, revealing a city open to residents and visitors of different ages, nationalities, and social groups. “White Night” events traditionally occur not only in usual places for culture and art but also in unusual settings, promoting the expansion of the perception boundaries of the concept of culture.
