“Rainis. Brauns. Daugava” Concert

During Latvia's national holiday month, on November 12 at 8:00 p.m., Riga Lutheran Church choir and its artistic director Matīss Tučs invite you to the full performance of Mārtiņš Brauns' legendary cycle "Daugava" at the cultural center "Zvejniekciems".

The concert "Rainis. Brauns. Daugava" will feature all 18 parts of the cycle "Daugava", with the most famous being the beloved "Sun. Thunder. Daugava", while at the 2023 Song Festival, the audience had the opportunity to hear three additional parts of the cycle - "Krauklītis", "Zvērests", and "Dusmu dziesma".

The cycle will be performed by the Riga Lutheran Church choir under the direction of conductor Matīss Tučs, together with keyboardist Auste Kalniņš and guitarist Kaspar Zemītis. Tenors Mārtiņš Zvīgulis, Kristians Krievāns, and Anda Zemīte will perform solos. The concert director and host is Dainis Gaidelis.

Light artists Ivars Vācers and Dārta Zālīte will create a special lighting design for the event, which, combined with powerful musical material and the choir's sound, will give the evening a unique atmosphere and provide an opportunity to experience a patriotic-filled enjoyment.
