Raxtu Raxti and Sinfonietta Riga

On May 25, at the 'Great Amber' Concert Hall in Liepaja, the group 'Raxtu Raxti' and the chamber orchestra 'Sinfonietta Riga' will perform. In the joint concert program, the most beautiful songs of the 'Raxtu Raxti' group will be heard in new arrangements created by Emils Zilberts.

Currently, the 'Raxtu Raxti' ensemble consists of Kristine Karkle-Kalnina (vocals, violin, kantele), Marts Kristians Kalnins (vocals, harmonium, piano, zither, oboe), Edgars Karklis (vocals, accordion, bagpipes, zither), Armands Treilis (bass guitar), Artis Orubs (percussion), Ilze Grunte (guitar, harp, mandolin).

Both the 'Raxtu Raxti' group and 'Sinfonietta Riga' do not require lengthy introductions and many words. They are familiar to most of the audience, and those who are just about to discover the musicians' artistry will surely be delighted by the diverse program.
