Rose Festival in Tukums
The festival will kick off on Thursday with a concert at Durbe Castle and will continue with children's attractions, sports games, and other activities. Here is an overview of the program:
July 21
18:00 Basketball tournament ROSE BALL at Porzingis Basketball Court
18:00-21:00 Concert GOLDEN RAY IN TUKUMS at Durbe Stage
Featuring performances by Janis Kirmuska, Janis Paukstello, Viktors Zemgals, Anita Ozola, Legzdina Sisters, George Siksna, Elita Strazdina, Lolita Kante, Ainars Bumbieris, Heinrihs Kalvitis, bands “Music Collection,” “To the West,” “Peppers,” Sandris Sprogis and “Sea Rabbits.”
20:00-01:00 Exhibition-performance ROSE LIGHTS GARDEN at Tukums Lutheran Church
At 8:00 pm - opening of flower, light, and music exhibition-installations with the choir VANEMA's 45th anniversary concert “Forest of Flowers.” The exhibition will be open until 1:00 am on Friday. Operating hours on the following days: Saturday 10:00 - 01:00, Sunday 10:00 - 20:00. Free admission.
21:00-03:00 Festival Ball at Durbe Stage
Featuring performances by the bands “Klaidonis” and “Peppers.” Free entry.
22:00-01:00 Dream of a Rose at Night
A leisurely walk route on Friday evening through the city with 8 stopping points for insights into the creation and values of the Rose Festival.
July 22
Rose Square Romantic Stage at Brivibas Square
10:00 First roses inserted into the wreath
First roses will be inserted by Andrihova Wind Orchestra (Poland), Khoni Dance Group “Eriseuli” (Georgia), and Tumes Vocal Ensemble “Kansoneta.” Special Tukums roses will also be presented.
11:00 -13:30 Children's program
The children's program will be offered by Tukums Children's Vocal Studio “Rainbow,” “Pifa Adventures,” and “House of Fairy Tales” - featuring concert programs, performances, attractions, and games.
13:30-18:00 Romantic Mood Program
18:00 Closing of the Rose Wreath and Rose Petal Salute
18:10-18:30 Dance Game
A small musical break before the festival procession “Rose Chariot through Time” welcomes and honors participants.
18:30-19:30 Festival Procession ROSE CHARIOT THROUGH TIME
The procession traditionally starts from Talsi and Sesava Streets, moves along Brivibas Square on the Great Street, and concludes at Pauzers Meadow near the main stage.
21:00-22:00 Band “Atlanti”
22:00-03.00 Rose Ball with “Jolly Blumizers”
Actor, local of Tukums, Martins Pocs, will host the stage until late evening.

Performances by Latvian actors Ilze Kuzule-Skrastina and Janis Paukstello, as well as musicians Janis Bukelis and Marts Kristians Kalnins.

Night dances until 04:00. The stage will be guided by Ugis Joksts until late evening.
Various activities will take place on the Artists Street of the Rose Festival and also near the Tukums Art Museum and in the courtyard of “Tukku Magi.”
9:30-11:00 “White” Orchestra Wakes Up the City
Beloved “White” Orchestra of Tukums will once again visit various neighborhoods of the city, waking up the residents and inviting everyone to celebrate the Rose Festival early in the morning.
10:00-16:00 Plant and Beauty Market
The traditional Rose Festival market will not be missed on Saturday. Near Brivibas Square - in the surrounding streets, the Beauty Market will take place again, with over 200 different traders, craftsmen, and home producers already invited and registered. Additionally, near the Tukums Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Plant Market participants will be placed so that every homeowner can purchase new plants during the festival.
10:00-18:00 Campaign “Gift a Rose Plant to Tukums”
Donation tent in Brivibas Square will encourage donating rose plants for the creation of new rose beds in Tukums. Initial donation price - 10 EUR per plant.
11:00-13:00 “Little Flowers” at the “Nest” Association
At the creative workshop “Nest” on Brivibas Square 13 (2nd floor), there will be an exhibition of creative works by Tukums locals. There will also be a handicraft workshop for children “Little Flowers” right there. Free entry and participation.
July 23
All day BIG ROSE WREATH at Brivibas Square

13:00-17:00 Festival Activities: Elita Patmalniece Studio, colorful wonders with Dace and Enrico Pecolli, Raita Ashman Quintet music, art exhibitions and creative workshops, storytelling through the castle garden and tree energy, museum activities, etc.
18:00 Festival Finale Concert at Jaunmoku Castle Garden Terrace
The finale concert at Jaunmoku Castle Garden will feature Maris Auzins and Aija Vitolina. The concert will be a musical journey through the worlds of various countries, languages, and genres - from “Carmen” in Spain to “Elysian Fields” in France, from “Cherry Rain” in Latvia to “Maria de Buenos Aires” in Argentina.
Visitors can also explore the botanical gardens of Tukums, “Rose Garden” in Seme Parish, Dace Luksevica's botanical garden in Tukums, Ligita Cukure's botanical garden in Engure, “World of Celms” Hydrangea Garden in Smarde Parish, and Janis Auzins' “Hederas” Garden in Tume Parish.
Throughout the festival, visitors can also visit Tukums museums to view various exhibitions and displays.
