Rūjiena City Festival 2025

Rūjiena invites you to celebrate the festival on August 1st and 2nd. This year's festival program is inspired by the winding flow of the Rūja River, which, together with the city of Rūjiena, has intertwined historical moments over a span of 105 years. At this city festival, history and the present will meet, Rūjiena then and now – the people and places. We invite the residents of Rūjiena and city visitors to reflect on how the city and its inhabitants have changed over days, weeks, and years, to appreciate traditions, and to celebrate life today, coloring the serene flow of everyday life with a festive feeling!

The program, as usual, is extensive and rich with activities for both adults and families with children. There will be sports events, entertainment for children and adults, concerts throughout the day, a crafts and local producer market, theaters, and exhibitions. The band "Triānas Parks" will also perform.

And it's not a festival unless it ends with a proper party. The band "Vēja Radītie" will help create a festive atmosphere and ensure a joyful time.
