Looking for a place to celebrate the Līgo festival with family and friends? Pastariņa Museum invites you to celebrate the Summer Solstice, marking the shortest night and the longest day of the year.
On June 20 at 3:00 PM, we will gather for a communal summer solstice celebration at the 'Bisnieki' homestead, exploring Latvian summer solstice traditions.
We will read Jāņu grass, decorate the homestead, and adorn ourselves! We will show how to hang Jāņu cheese in our homestead, and, of course, how to bake proper rye bread following the 'Bisnieki' family recipe. We will also enjoy a dance or two and sing songs!
Participation fee: 4.00 EUR.
