Spring Festival at Ausekli Mill Museum

A traditional, annual event at the open-air museum 'Ausekli Mill', dedicated to spring activities in the countryside. Agricultural machinery and tools are in operation. Craftsmen from all over Latvia (and beyond) showcase their skills and allow for participation. Entertainment includes a crafts market, dance and music performances, and delicious food!

The Latvian countryside bears witness to the rhythm of human life. Work, leisure, and celebrations take place here. The traditional 'Spring Festival', celebrated every year on the second Saturday of May at Ausekli Mill, will be held this year on May 11th starting from 11:00 a.m. The mill family is already preparing to demonstrate rural farm work. Each building in the Ausekli Mill complex will feature and showcase new exhibits. 

The event is organized to introduce various crafts and skills, as well as to create interest, understanding, and public participation in preserving Latvia's intangible cultural heritage.
