Ancient Fire Night in Liepāja 2025
On the last Saturday of August, coastal cities and villages celebrate the Ancient Fire Night – a night symbolizing unity and friendship among the Baltic Sea nations. Thousands of bonfires along the coastline illuminate the evening, reminding us of the ancient traditions of coastal inhabitants and their close connection to the sea. As the sun sets and the bonfires are lit, the people of Liepāja and visitors to the city will be delighted with powerful Latvian songs by singer Ance Krauze and pianist Jānis Strazds on the seaside.
On August 30th at 8:00 PM, singer Ance Krauze will take the stage on Liepāja beach near the exit to the sea at Roņu Street, together with pianist and composer Jānis Strazds. The concert will feature songs specially written for Ance Krauze, as well as well-known and beloved songs by Raimonds Pauls, Jānis Lūsēns, Valdis Atāls, Jānis Strazds, and other authors. Additionally, powerful Latvian folk songs will be performed!
Feel free to come along with friends and family to celebrate together and enjoy pleasant emotions.
