“Serenades”

On March 16 at 18:00 in Alūksne, Normunds Rutulis, Mārtiņš Kanters, and Dainis Skutelis will come together to perform in the concert ‘Serenades’. We all know what a serenade is – a love song that in ancient times, a fervently enamored knight would sing beneath his beloved’s windows accompanied by a string instrument. A serenade is synonymous with a love story.

But in reality, the musical explanation of serenades can be related to all those melodic songs of various genres that sing about love. Each love song can be considered a serenade, and the 3 singers will perform well-known and familiar serenades, both globally and in Latvia, with many listeners knowing the words and able to sing along.

The selection of pieces and sound quality will be taken care of by the excellent musicians under the leadership of Jura Kristons.
