Reflections of the Heart in Slampe

This year, the Slampe Parish Festival will take place on August 1st and 2nd. The motto for this year's festival is “Reflections of the Heart in Slampe”. Reflected in the heart of every resident of Slampe Parish is Slampe itself - our character, fellow people, traditions, the beauty of nature, and every home. Like morning dew on meadow grass, like a sunbeam falling through a home window, this place dwells within us with its peace, warmth, and eternal sense of belonging. As we are, so will our Slampe be, for Slampe is visible in the reflection of our own hearts.

Festival Program:

• August 1st at 7:00 PM in the Ozolnieki Village of Slampe Parish, the opening concert of the Slampe Parish Festival with singer Mārtiņš Kanters
• August 2nd at the Creative Quarter “KultūrElpa Liepās” in the Slampe Cultural Palace:
  • 11:00 AM Honoring the newborns of Slampe Parish together with Elīna and Agris Ieva Mednis and the vocal pop group “Vocalio”.
  • 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Slampe Parish Festival Market (at Slampe Cultural Palace).
  • 12:00 PM Magic show with illusionist Valdemārs Weiss
  • 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Creative workshops and activities for families - creative workshops, screen printing (bring your own t-shirt or fabric bag), large-scale games from “Metam”, giant dart football, face painting (for an additional fee), pony rides from “Daigones Stables” (at Slampe Cultural Palace).
  • 3:00 PM Evita's Fairy entertainment program for children and bubble party.
  • 7:30 PM Slampe Parish Festival parade “Reflections of the Heart in Slampe” with the Talsi Percussion Ensemble (parade route: Slampe Railway Station -> Creative Quarter “KultūrElpa Liepās”). We invite you to think about a visual image, creating signs, slogans, and other symbols of recognition! (Gathering for the festival parade at 7:00 PM at Slampe Railway Station)
  • 8:00 PM Sports festival awards ceremony
  • 8:30 PM Festival concert with Edvards Strazdiņš.
  • 10:00 PM Festival party with DJ Jānis Fabriks.
• August 2nd at Zemgale High School Stadium:
  • From 10:30 AM sports festival: individual disciplines and children's program, team sports: football, streetball, volleyball, and floorball.

Throughout the day, the outdoor café Kafe Terase will be open.

Entry to the events is free!

The event is organized and supported by: Tukums Municipality, Slampe Parish Administration, Slampe Cultural Palace, Sports Club “Slampe/ZEVID”, Kafe Terase, and SIA “Compact Tent”.
