Public Orienteering “Sigulda Compass” 2025

The Sigulda Sports Club “Siguldas Takas” is organizing the public orienteering sports series “Sigulda Compass” to promote orienteering, a healthy lifestyle, and to create an opportunity for families with children to spend quality time in nature. It also offers beginners a chance to get acquainted with orienteering and experienced athletes to improve their navigation skills.

A large portion of this year's rounds will be organized in locations where the series has not been held before.

The competitions will take place on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, starting from October 11th – on Saturdays with a start time from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

The series is conducted according to the competition calendar plan, and participant groups depend on age and distances. Children under the age of eight participate only under the supervision of their parents or teachers. Parents/guardians assume full responsibility for children in all age groups. The length of the courses can vary depending on the terrain's difficulty, but courses are available for everyone according to their abilities.
