The Rainis Museum “Tadenava” (Dunava, Jēkabpils district) invites students to celebrate Rainis' 160th anniversary together with writers Inese Zandere, Kārlis Vērdiņš, Andris Akmentiņš, writer and ornithologist Viesturs Ķerus, and artist Agija Staka.

On September 19th at 12:00, Andris Akmentiņš will visit “Tadenava.” The poet and prose writer Andris Akmentiņš is the author of several poetry collections and the highly acclaimed novels “Teachers” and “Searching for Ezeriņš.” He has also translated children's books and written texts for children's theater performances and animated films. Andris's hobby is fly fishing. Did Rainis fish too? He preferred strolling and would bring home a flower or tree leaf for his herbarium album.

On September 15th at 12:00, Kārlis Vērdiņš and Agija Staka will visit “Tadenava.”

On September 22nd at 12:00, there will be a meeting with Inese Zandere and Viesturs Ķerus.

 

The events are free of charge. On the event day, museum exhibitions and creative workshops are also available for visits.
