The Rainis Museum “Tadenava” (Dunava, Jēkabpils District) invites students to celebrate Rainis's 160th anniversary with three different workshops featuring writers Inese Zandere, Kārlis Vērdiņš, and Andris Akmentiņš, as well as writer and ornithologist Viesturs Ķerus, and artist Agija Staka.

On September 22nd at 12:00 PM, meet Inese Zandere and Viesturs Ķerus. Inese Zandere's poetry collection for children “Birds See Us” includes more than 40 poems dedicated to birds. The poet has been a member of the Ornithological Society for many years, where she met professional bird researcher and author of children's books dedicated to nature, Viesturs Ķerus. Both authors will read their works, talk about birds, their calls and habits, and offer children the test “Which bird's call has the poet imitated?” along with other interesting tasks. Rainis himself was an avid bird watcher and wrote poems about birds for children, also attributing symbolic meanings to them in his plays.

On September 12th at 12:00 PM, meet Kārlis Vērdiņš and Agija Staka.

On September 19th at 12:00 PM, Andris Akmentiņš will visit “Tadenava”.

Attendance to the events is free of charge. On the day of the event, it is also possible to visit the museum's exhibition and participate in creative workshops.

The events are financially supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation.
