MEETING PLACE - LATVIA | Sparkling Summer Concert Program | JELGAVA

Four beloved singers in Latvia – Italian ROBERTO MELONI, Spaniard JAVIER FERNANDEZ, Georgian SHOTA ADAMASHVILI and Japanese MASAKI NAKAGAWA, united by their love for Latvia and Latvian culture, will meet on one stage in a light, sparkling, summer open-air concert program “MEETING PLACE - LATVIA”!

Until now, we have been accustomed to seeing them individually - both on large and smaller stages, watching them on television, listening to their voices on the radio, and following their journeys across the internet. But now, they will all be together, and in the concert program, each will perform the most popular songs from their native lands in Italian, Spanish, Georgian, and Japanese, as well as, demonstrating their love for Latvia, all will sing in Latvian – both their original songs in Latvian and join in joyful communal singing with the audience, singing many beloved and popular Latvian songs – starting with “Tu izvēlējies palikt”, “Ziņģi par bailēm” and ending with “Kurtizāņu ugunskuru”.

The accompaniment for the songs sung by Masaki, Shota, Roberto, and Javier will be played by an excellent instrumental ensemble, while the responsibilities of the concert emcee will be carried out by the charismatic and lively Roberto Meloni. The musical director of the concert is Jānis Strazds, and the scriptwriter and director is Maija Kalniņa.
