The Third Latvian National Poetry Slam Championship - Semifinal

On September 5 and 12, 2025, at 19:00, the Latvian National Poetry Slam Championship semifinal and final will take place at the Latvian Society House, where this year's champion will be determined. The champion will represent Latvia at the European Poetry Slam Championship in Berlin, the World Cup in Paris, and elsewhere in the world.

On September 5, all regular slam finalists are invited to participate in the semifinal, each preparing one poem. The time limit for presenting the poem is five minutes. Accessories, musical instruments, costumes, or any other props are not allowed. The jury will consist of both experienced slam judges and randomly selected audience members. The twelve participants with the highest scores will proceed to the final on September 12, which will take place in three rounds. In the final, as last year, the overall audience vote will determine which 6 participants advance to the second round and who will become the champion.
