Three Villages – One Parish

Summer is the time for festivals and various events, as well as the time to decide where to go with friends and family, as all of Latvia invites you.

The Vārve Parish Festival with the motto “Three Villages – One Parish” will take place from August 15 to 17. On the first day of the festival, a traditional theater evening will be held in the courtyard of Leči Manor at 7:00 p.m. On August 16, starting from 1:00 p.m. in Zūras, at the children's center “Tīne”, the competition “Vārve Parish Sage” will take place, during which creative activities will be held as part of the Ventspils Municipality competition “Youth in Action 2024” in collaboration with the Ventspils Science Center “VIZIUM”.

On August 16 at 6:00 p.m., a prayer for Vārve Parish will be held at the “Mazā Vinda” community center.

The culminating events of the Vārve Parish festival will take place in Vārve on August 17 starting from 10:00 a.m., initiating sporting activities in streetball and beach volleyball. At 11:00 a.m., gathering at Ventava for the parish motorized walk Ventava–Zūras–Vārve, with new participants joining in Zūras. The walk will end at the store in Vārve. Throughout the day at the Vārve Skate Park – games, attractions, mini-golf. At 1:00 p.m. in the skate park, competitions and skateboard demonstrations will begin.

On the main stage starting from 12:00 p.m., a parade of amateur art collectives from Vārve Parish, at 1:00 p.m. a book festival with the writer Luīze Pastore, at 2:00 p.m. the Stende line dancers, at 3:00 p.m. arm wrestling competitions, at 4:00 p.m. the attraction “My Golden Fish” in Venta. At 6:00 p.m., concert by Ēriks Loks, from 9:00 p.m. – a ball with the group “Lively Blumīzers”. During the day, a home cafe, horseback riding, and other activities for the eager will be available for a fee.
