Valmiera City Festival 2023

From July 20th to July 23rd, Valmiera will host the city festival. During this time, visitors to Valmiera will have the opportunity to explore the personal exhibition of Spodrītes Grudule at Valmiera Museum and other exhibitions, participate in various sports activities such as sports games, excursions, and walks, which will allow both locals and visitors to discover and uncover unseen or unnoticed Valmiera.

There will be concerts featuring groups and musicians such as the Choir 'KAĶI', Valmiera Cultural Centre's Folk Group 'ILGO', Ieva Malteniece and Aija Toliašvili, Valmiera 2nd Secondary School's group 'Farfale', Mārcis Bogdanovs, Elīza Evelīna Pētersone, Markuss Daniels Kolosovs, Kristīne Vectīrele, Duo 'Ilona and Igors', Group 'Silueti', 'Citi zēni', Intars Busulis and others.

There will also be entertainment options for children, such as an amusement park at Vienības Square, educational games (also for adults), other types of games, a festival cake, and a family performance 'Ūdens sarunas'.

In honor of Valmiera City's 740th anniversary, GEMOSS has prepared a gift for all festival visitors - a champagne pyramid and a festival cake. The champagne bottle will be opened ceremoniously with a sword! There will also be a festival orienteering race, and those interested will be able to participate in water activities and enjoy games for the whole family.
