National Holiday Weekend at Jaunmoku Palace

One of Latvia's newest and architecturally most beautiful palaces – Jaunmoku Palace, invites you to experience the atmosphere of Latvia's national holidays from November 15th to 18th by listening to the poetry of Latvian literary giant I.Ziedonis, the music of I. Kalniņš, engaging in family activities at the museum, and enjoying a festive meal. 

On November 15th at 7:00 PM, a concert program "Imants Kalniņš. Imants Ziedonis. Signs of Time." will be held in the Column Hall of the Manor Building at Jaunmoku Palace. The concert will feature the poetry of Imants Ziedonis and memories of contemporaries, complemented by songs from Imants Kalniņš and Raimonds Pauls. "Feel, hear, see again!" The audience will be guided by actor Intars Rešetins, singers Jānis Strazdiņš, Kristiāna Stirāne, and Elvijs Bušs, along with musicians Jānis Miltiņš and Ivars Kalniņš. Tickets for the concert can be purchased at pasakumi.jaunmokupils.lv and at Biļešu paradīze sales points. Ticket prices range from 15 EUR to 30 EUR.

Jaunmoku Palace also participates this year in the LPMA "Castles and Manors Restaurant Week", during which festive three-course meals will be served in the Column Hall on November 15th at 5:00 PM, and in the palace halls on November 17th at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and on November 18th at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Dinner reservations can be made at pasakumi.jaunmokupils.lv. The meal price is 40 EUR for adults and 25 EUR for children.

On November 17th, the museum will host family activities – a "Nature Bingo" tournament, games introducing the processes and inhabitants of Latvia's forests, and orienteering in the palace and park. Special greetings will be prepared for the most successful, engaging, and resilient participants. A 20% discount on museum admission tickets will be applied to holders of the "Honorary Family" card, LT (Šeimos kortelė), or EST (Perekaart).

On November 15th, before the concert, at 4:00 PM, and on November 18th at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, an open tour accompanied by the lady of the palace will take place, which will prompt reflection on the various twists of history and introduce the valuable exhibits on display at the museum.

Throughout November, Andris Vītols' exhibition "Return" will be on view in the Tower Hall of Jaunmoku Palace, and a series of works by Aija Bley created in assemblage technique will be exhibited in the forest museum's exposition "Neither Birds Nor Beasts", as well as an exhibition of "Luminous Works" by various authors will adorn the palace park, gaining special brilliance in the dark.
