Summer Solstice Celebrations in Džūkste

 The Summer Solstice celebrations in Džūkste will start on June 20th and continue until June 23rd.

On June 20th, at 15:00 in the community center "Tev", there will be a cheese making workshop. At 17:00 in the Cultural Center, you can learn sauna traditions with Edgar Jekimov or enjoy Latvian folk song melodies by the bonfire with the folklore group "Pūrs".

Meanwhile, on June 21st at 11:00 in the community center "Tev", there will be a workshop on making maple leaf hats, where everyone can try their hand at creating and compare whose headgear turns out the most colorful, interesting, and unique.

On the Līgo evening, June 23rd, at 18:00 in the Džūkste Cultural Center there will be a concert by amateur art collectives and making of wreaths from Midsummer herbs. Of course, there will be the lighting of the Midsummer bonfire and later on a greenery ball with the group "Imula". Admission is free.
