Summer Solstice Celebration in Kocēni

It's hard to decide where to celebrate the solstice with friends or family?

On June 21 at 21:00, the "Summer Solstice in Kocēni" will take place at Kokmuiža promenade. Songs, rituals, dances with the post-folklore group "Rikši" and artistic self-made collectives: the senior vocal ensemble "Dziesmotā senatne" of Kocēni Cultural Center, the middle generation dance group "Savieši" of Kocēni Cultural Center, folk dance group of Valmiera Secondary School No. 5, folk dance group "Pērkonītis" of Valmiera Primary School, pre-school age folk dance group "Vinda" of Valmiera Youth Center, folk dance group "Saulīte" of Kocēni Primary School.

As the sun sets, we will light bonfires. Also, from 19:00 onwards, you are invited to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the solstice evening by taking a boat ride on the Kokmuiža pond.

Attendance at the event is free of charge. Both locals and visitors are warmly welcomed to experience joy and positive emotions!
