Cycling Tour around the Tome Area 2025

The Cultural and Tourism Administration of Ogre Municipality invites enthusiasts of active recreation to participate in the end-of-summer cycling tour around the scenic Tome area, which will take place on September 6th.

The cycling tour will start at 10:00 AM in Ķegums, near the Community Center, and will conclude around 4:00 PM. The route is circular, approximately 25 km long, and will lead through roads of various surfaces, overall providing a ride of easy difficulty. The cycling tour is also suitable for families with children aged 12 and above, assessing the child's ability to complete the route. Note that several sections of the route will be on the P85 highway.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the tourism offerings of Tome Parish, observe the diversity of nature, enjoy the fresh air and landscapes in Tome's vast forests. 

Participation in the event is free, but the number of places is limited, so we encourage early registration! Registration is open until September 3rd or until the maximum number of participants is reached.

Necessary items for participation in the event: a bicycle, weather-appropriate and activity-suitable shoes and clothing, snacks for a lunch break, and water.

Please note that according to traffic regulations, children under the age of 16 must wear a fastened helmet when cycling. We also encourage adults to wear helmets and comply with traffic regulations.
