All Souls' Evening in Sigulda with folk ensemble "Senleja"

In a time when the mist veils the ancient valley of the Gauja, inviting to immerse in contemplative thoughts, on the eve of October 31, at 18:30, Sigulda's folk ensemble "Senleja" invites you to gather for an All Souls' Evening in Sigulda, at the square near the monument of Krišjānis Barons, to commemorate in songs and memories their beloved and strong ones who have passed away, and to honor the Father of Dainas on his 189th birthday.

A collective and respectful gratitude, honoring departed relatives and previous generations for their accomplishments, memories, and songs, forms the core of the All Souls' Evening light. Everyone is invited to participate in the collective honoring of their own, bringing candles to increase the light, draw strength, and foster unity.

Generations change with time, but a nation is as strong as its traditions. And one of them is to be grateful and truthful in front of our ancestors and future generations. Being able to see and feel the World Tree, with roots in the earth, a strong trunk in the world, and branches reaching towards the sky.
