Ventspils County Festival 2025

On September 6, 2025, the Ventspils County Festival will be held in Pope Manor Park, the church, and the open-air stage, bringing together amateur art groups from the county, distinguished locals, and professional musicians.

At 1:00 PM at Pope Manor, the Ventspils County amateur groups concert “Summer Still in the Heart” will begin. All folk dance ensembles, vocal groups, and the mixed choir “Amber Voices” from Ventspils County will meet on one stage, accompanied by a band led by Anatolijs Livča. The concert will culminate with the premiere of the Ventspils County anthem, with lyrics by Katrīna Uļjāne and music by Ginta Rūse. An exhibition of works by artists from Ventspils County will also be on display.

At 2:30 PM – “Conversation with a Local”. In a discussion led by Inga Ieviņa, each of the 12 parishes of Ventspils County will be represented – local entrepreneurs, activists, and municipal representatives will share their stories. This will be an opportunity to hear inspiring stories about life in the county – rooted in heritage, passion, and visions for the future.

Meanwhile, at 4:00 PM in Pope Evangelical Lutheran Church, the closing concert of the sacred music festival “With Faith in the Heart” can be enjoyed. The special concert program will feature Līga Ivāne (organ) and Ieva Veide (kokle). The program will include works by Latvian composers – a musical message about faith, tradition, and Latvian identity in the European spiritual space.

At the conclusion of the Ventspils County Festival at 6:00 PM, the legendary rock band “Līvi” will perform on Pope's open-air stage. The opening act will be singer Atis Ieviņš.
