Viktors Lapčenoks in Valmiera

On October 26, at 18:00, the legendary Latvian pop artist VIKTORS LAPČENOKS will visit the cultural space "Akustika".

"It doesn't matter to me where I sing, whether it's the grandest Latvian pop stage or a cozy tavern, I always do it with pleasure and full dedication. Singing throughout the years, my love for music has only grown, and I can be proud that I am one of those people whose job is to do what they love. And I love to sing. So, if asked, 'If you couldn't breathe...' others would say that without breath they couldn't live, but I would say that I couldn't sing..." This is how Viktors Lapčenoks describes himself.

The concert will feature songs that have been sung and beloved by audiences for decades, created by Raimonds Pauls: "Tell Me, Where is That Land", "Silent Song", "Kurzeme", "Voice of the Sea", "Hour of Latrenes", "For My Homeland", and many, many more beloved melodies for every Latvian! We will listen to the songs and hear stories from the musician's life. Alongside Viktor, as always at the keys - equally legendary and reliable pianist - Jānis Bauvars.
