Bream Fishing Festival

The bream fishing festival in Bauska is not happening for the first time, and with each iteration, it becomes more grandiose. As Bauska is one of Latvia's bream fishing capitals, everyone interested is invited to enjoy the festivities on April 20 from 11:00 to 16:00. The program will be truly diverse with live music, smoked bream, of course, fishing competitions, and other activities. Anglers, on the other hand, will gather at 7.30 to compete for the most valuable catch.

The event will take place on the right bank of the Mūsa River (Krasta Street near Bauska Stadium).

This year, visitors will be invited to engage in educational activities focusing on water pollution and reduction, while musician Arturs Gruzdiņš will climb the festival stage with the concert program “Safety Festival,” the musical group “Gapoljeri,” DJ Uldis Rudaks, and the band “Kautkaili.”

At 15:00, the most successful bream catchers will be awarded valuable prizes from the festival sponsor T/C “Līga.” Each laureate will also receive a special “Bream Festival” statuette. The awards will be presented in six categories: I most valuable bream, II most valuable bream, III most valuable bream, youngest participant, oldest participant, and the queen of fishing.
