Vimba Festival

The Vimba Festival in Bauska is already taking place for the fifth time. Entertainment is guaranteed for the whole family. There will be an opportunity to taste smoked vimba fish on the right bank of the Mūsa River near Bauska Stadium or participate in the Goodwill Fishing Competition (each participant is allowed to catch 8 vimba fish from the river). It is no wonder that Bauska is called one of the capitals of vimba fishing. The participants of the Goodwill Fishing Competition are awarded in six categories every year - prizes are given to the three most successful vimba catchers, the oldest and youngest participant, as well as the most successful lady or the "Fishing Commander" of the competition.

Event visitors can participate in educational activities on nature conservation. The well-known band "Dzelzs Vilks" and the turbo folk orchestra "Oranžās Brīvdienas" will take care of the music.
