Ziedonis - 90

Celebrating Imants Ziedonis' 90th anniversary, at the Daile Music Hall on May 2nd at 18:00, the premiere of Imants Ziedonis and Raimonds Pauls' program 'ZIEDONIS - 90/ Raimonds Pauls & Daumants Kalniņš' will take place.

Daumants Kalniņš will perform Imants Ziedonis' poetry in Maestro's music, accompanied by Maestro Raimonds Pauls on the piano. The concert program will also feature Raimonds Macats (keyboard instruments), Oskars Sproģis (bass guitar), Jānis Kalniņš (guitar), Artis Orubs (percussion instruments), and the choir 'Sola' under the direction of conductor Kaspars Ādamsons.

Audiences will hear the most beautiful songs of Raimonds Pauls with the poetry of Imants Ziedonis. These songs are known by almost everyone, and the audience will have the opportunity to hear them in a new rendition, marking the poet's jubilee.
