Balvi Evangelical Lutheran Church
The foundation stone of the church was consecrated in 1914. When building the actual brick church, each church member pledged to pay a certain amount, and each farmer to supply a specified quantity of fieldstones. The then pastor Kārlis Irbe took on the leadership of the project. The church bell, weighing 530 kg, was cast in Germany.
