Center Sports and Play Quarter Add an Object

Riga's Center Sports Quarter combines both a children's recreation and playground area and sports game fields. The children's playground has a variety of equipment and elements for children of all ages. To make it more exciting, the playground is not just a layout of elements - upon closer inspection, you can notice that the painted asphalt and the rubber surface of the playground are colored in brownish-blue tones, indicating the Daugava River flowing through the Old Town, while the play equipment visually resembles certain buildings in the Old Town, such as the Cat House, the Dome Church, towers, etc. The Daugava is even an island, and there is a moored ship.

Right next to it is a space for more active activities, such as basketball and volleyball. There are also tracks for cycling, roller skating, skateboarding, or scootering. Track users can also choose according to their age and skills.

Table tennis tables await players, and there are benches for parents or tired visitors along the edges of the area. On the playground side (next to the colored Daugava), there is a fountain embedded in the pavement, where you can cool off and refresh yourself in the summer.

The quarter is open every day, and parents with children as well as anyone interested in play or sports games are welcome to come.
