Folklore Center "Namīns" Add an Object
In December 2003, the folklore group "Atštaukas" established the Folklore Center "Namīns", where they celebrate holidays, organize Midsummer Eve celebrations, Easter swinging, Michaelmas market, Anna's Day Housewives' celebrations, and traditional Christmas. "Atštaukas" helps to preserve and popularize various Latvian folk dignity rituals, both wedding and funeral traditions. The Folklore Center "Namīns" also operates a school where children are taught folklore and folk traditions.
