In 1685, the New Testament was translated, and in 1689, the Old Testament. In commemoration of the work accomplished, Ernst Gliks planted two oak trees - the Gliks Oaks - in the park of the pastor's manor, opposite the inhabited building. These oaks are still green today. Next to them, there is a memorial stone with the inscription 'Gliks Oaks. 1685-1689', symbolizing the time of the translation of the Holy Scriptures.
