Granite Obelisk Add an Object
In 1799, Burhard von Vietinghoff erected a granite obelisk in memory of his father. The pedestal of the obelisk had a marble plaque with an inscription in German: To the best father, a friend of mankind from a grateful son, 1799. The obelisk also featured an oval portrait medallion of Otto Hermann von Vietinghoff in masonry relief. Below, there was a rectangular plaque with the inscription 'O.H. von Vietinghoff', and the tip of the granite obelisk was crowned with a sphere. The height of the obelisk is 8.74 meters.
All the granite parts of the obelisk and two granite steps that contributed to the overall composition have been preserved to this day.
