The first evidence of Jaunlaicene Manor dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. Of the buildings constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries, 16 have been preserved to this day.
For 170 years, the manor was owned by the von Wolff family. The family patriarch, Johann Gottlieb II, shaped the manor as a cozy family home. The manor lord's residence now houses a museum that tells the story of the manor's construction, management of manors in Vidzeme, daily life, the barons, and the local inhabitants - the Malēni people.
