Seabird Postal Station
As is known, in ancient times the remarkable ability of seabirds to orient themselves was observed. If released into the wild, instinct always brings them back to their native nest. The advantage of birds is their speed of movement - as a good traveler, they can reach speeds of up to 100 kilometers per hour. In recent history, seabirds have been most commonly used during times of war, even during World War II they were used for transmitting correspondence.
The Postal Station for seabirds was built in 1899-1900, with a capacity to house 450 seabirds, but over time it has been rebuilt several times and now serves as a residential building.
