Catholic Church When the congregation was established in 1937, the construction of the church began. In the autumn of 1938, Father L. Kundziņš consecrated the new church. The building inspector Reizans from Jelgava developed the church's floor plan and provided instructions for material preparation and cutting. The church members actively participated in the construction. Father L. Kundziņš placed an altar with a painting of St. Teresa in the church. During the time of Pastor J. Kārkle, the church was panelled with boards, and two small altars were built near the main altar. Auce Roman Catholic Church is attractive with its unique wooden finish and interior.
