Rio Cinema Add an Object

In the Old Town of Ventspils, at 28 Pils Street, cinema has been shown for over 100 years. The cinema building is closely associated with the creation of the first feature film in Latvia, 'Kur patiesība', directed by the original owner of the building, Gilioms Berlīns. Ventspils theatre actors and cinema staff participated in the roles.

Previously, the cinema was known as 'Ziemeļpols', later renamed 'Kolizeja', 'Aina', 'Komjaunietis'! And since 1997, the cinema has acquired its new name - Rio Cinema.
