Church of the Transfiguration of Christ Add an Object

In the early 19th century, there was a unique prayer house in Sarkandaugava, where ecumenical services took place, with altars for Catholics, Orthodox, and Lutherans. After the completion of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the prayer house was closed. On August 15, 1890, the Transfiguration Church was solemnly consecrated, built according to the project of architect M. Nunck in the so-called Aleksandra Augstumi.
