Monument of Lāčplēsis Add an Object
The monument is located in Stacijas Square and was unveiled on November 21, 1992. Its author is sculptor Andrejs Jansons, who restored the monument "Lāčplēsis and the Black Knight", created by his father Kārlis Jansons with donations from the people and unveiled in 1932. After World War II, the monument was destroyed, and its fragment was found in 1988 and is currently located at Ģ. Eliass Jelgava History and Art Museum.
