Latvian Museumof Natural History is a natural science museum located in Riga, Latvia.
The museum was founded in 1845 by representatives of the Riga Baltic German intelligentsia as a unit of the Riga Society of Nature Researchers (DerNaturforscherverein zu Riga).[2] The museum's collection consists of natural objects donated by members of the society. The Latvian Museum of Natural History is the oldest comprehensive natural science museum in the Baltic region.
