LNSO Season Finale Concert! Add an Object

In a performance by Andris Poga and the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, featuring the outstanding Latvian violinist Vineta Sareika, you will have the opportunity to enjoy compositions by Rachmaninoff, Sibelius, and Šmīdbergs.

Sergei Rachmaninoff wrote the “Symphonic Dances” far away from Russia, and his pen was guided by the weight of life and nostalgia for the bells of his homeland's churches. Rīga-born Vilnis Šmīdbergs says, “I cannot live without the sea,” and weaves the colors of water in his new composition. Sibelius, meanwhile, sits in his forest home Ainola and with a sense of satisfaction completes the final lines of his Violin Concerto. Who in the forest, who in the sea, who in the distance – could there be a better end to the season?
