Museum "Liepāja in Occupations" Add an Object
The department of Liepāja Museum, "Liepāja in Occupations", was opened on January 21, 2001. Its mission is to preserve the collective historical memory of the people, in order to strengthen their national self-awareness, which is the ideological and emotional basis of statehood, to explain the questions of losing statehood and the period of occupation in history. The department is located in a building that was the headquarters of the Liepāja branch of the Latvian Popular Front during the Awakening period - K. Ukstiņa Street 7/9.
