Monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the Latgale Partisan Regiment. Add an Object

For the people of Balvi, 'Stanislavs' has become a symbol of freedom, gathering the locals on national holidays and commemorative moments. In 1938, the image of the partisan in bronze was created by the sculptor Kārlis Jansons. The monument was toppled twice when Soviet forces entered the city, in 1940 and 1944. And only after many years, on November 11, 1993, the 'Guarding Partisan' returned to its place to honor the memory of fighters for freedom from various years. The restored monument was created by I. Folkmanis and A. Jansons, the son of K. Jansons.
