Monument Sudrabkalniņš Add an Object
Sudrabkalniņš is a monument to the soldiers of the 6th Riga Infantry Regiment who defended Riga against the attacks of the Bermontians in 1919. It is located between Slokas Street and Kurzemes Avenue. The current authors of the monument are sculptor Kārlis Zāle and architect Ernests Štālbergs. After the Second World War, the plaque of the monument, as well as about ten granite blocks and the engraved emblem of the regiment on granite, were removed. Sudrabkalniņš was restored in 2005.
