Monument to the Scientist, Academician Mstislav Keldysh (sculptor Ļevs Bukovskis, architect Georg Baumanis) in Riga. Unveiled in 1978. Located in the canal embankment of Raiņa Boulevard, opposite the building of the University of Latvia at Raiņa Boulevard 19. Granite pedestal, bronze portrait: a bronze bust, polished granite pedestal with engraved letters. The bronze portrait is placed on a vertical, irregular four-sided prism. Total height is 3.4 meters. On the front surface of the pedestal - a very long dedication and a list of achievements of M. Keldysh. On the right side of the pedestal, there used to be bronze replicas of awards. After the restoration of Latvian independence, the replicas of Soviet orders, with which the scientist had been awarded, were apparently removed from the monument for political reasons, thus altering the original work.
