The Powder Tower (German: Powder Tower), formerly also known as the Sand Tower, is a powder tower located in Riga, Latvia. It is a national architectural monument, under the actual control and use of the state agency "Latvian War Museum". It is located in Old Riga and is one of the buildings of the Latvian War Museum (20 Sand Street). It was once an important element of Riga's fortifications and served as a guard of the main gate on the eastern road.
