This masterpiece at the end of the 1930s has influenced the architectural solutions of many public buildings throughout Latvia. The composition of geometric forms in the functionalist style harmoniously blends with the traditional image of a town hall - a tower rises in one corner of the building. The tower is crowned with a decorative rectangular pavilion on massive pillars and a vertical spire.
The original layout of the building has been preserved, as well as interior elements - hall doors and staircase railings.
