St. John's Lutheran Church Add an Object

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riga is the oldest church of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riga, which has belonged to the Latvian congregation since 1582. The number of registered church members is close to 2000. The church's work is led by an elected council and board.

The building is a state architectural monument: the church is adorned with a network of vaults and a decorative western pediment, and the triple-nave altar space has been preserved. The church itself, with its wall-pillar construction, has only one nave, which is characteristic of Dominican church architecture. St. John's Church is a rare example of late Gothic architecture in Latvia. It serves not only as a place of worship but also as a venue for spiritual music, including choirs and organ music concerts.
