St. Peter's Lutheran Church Add an Object
Riga St. Peter's Church (German: Petrikirche) is the tallest church in Riga and a notable 13th-century Gothic-style national architectural monument. St. Peter's Church is located in Old Town, Skarnu Street 19. It was built in 1209, but the current building preserves the outer walls and some pillars in the interior from the 13th century. Until1524, it was a Roman Catholic Church, but from 1526 to 1940, it served as the Lutheran Church of Riga. Since1991, St. Peter's Church has been the Lutheran Church of Riga within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia.
